Ruth is a ordinary woman without limits.
She was born in South Africa in 1941 and moved to Senekal in 2012. She opened her own swimming school at age 31 in Johannesburg in 1969 and successfully managed it for forty five years. She has always had a strong desire to do charity work and has been actively involved with various projects over the span of many years. As one of the charity workers for Areyeng Residence for the mentally disabled (035-658NPO) in Walkerville,Johannesburg. Her passion to help became her calling. She is known for mobilising the community in caring for those less fortunate without discrimination.
She loves the South African Spirit and truly believes she can make a difference.

In her private capacity she organises projects and events in Senekal and surrounding districts in the Free State.
She is also the charity worker (035-658NPO) for Areyeng Residence – a home for the mentally disadvantaged in the South of Johannesburg.

Ruth donates the following annually:

1. School Uniforms for learners going to school for the first time.

2. School medals for all matriculates who pass with Honours.

3. Christmas presents to 400 orphans in Matwabeng informal township.

4. Organised soft serve ice-cream for 400 kids, some whom have never had ice cream before.


Further donations and contributions donated in the last 8 months:

1. Soccer balls for 8 teams in Matwabeng Informal Township.

2. Soccer balls for the refusage team from the municipality.

3. Gifts for our 28 mentally disabled kids in the informal Township of Matwabeng.

4. Medals and trophies for the Senekal Police.

5. Linen for the 60 orphans in Rosendal Township.

6. Refreshments for the Free State boxing Championships 2017.

7. Madiba Day: Donated 400 Face cloths and easter eggs for 400 orphans.

1. Ruth planned the annual Christmas party and acquired gifts for the 40 patients.

2. She also assists with all the necessary toiletries such as towels and soap.

3. Donated Easter eggs to the residence every Easter.

4. Currently Ruth is organising a project to help renovate the premises. They are in dire need of upgrading their kitchen, lounge and dining room to accommodate all the patient of the residence.
